Chelsea host Barcelona tonight in the first leg of the Champions League second round tie, and we are all expecting a cracker of a game.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker and BetVictor brand ambassador Michael Owen is anticipating a terrific game at the Bridge tonight, but he’s expecting Barcelona to win the game 2-1.
Owen’s analysis of the game: “Chelsea are unbeaten in their last seven Champions League games against Barcelona and the Catalan giants have only won one of their six away games at the Bridge.
“I expect to see goals in what promises to be a terrific game and do note Barca have never kept a clean sheet at the Bridge although they only conceded one goal in the group stages of the competition earlier in the season.
“No Philippe Coutinho of course in the Barca ranks in West London, but we will see the dual threat of the brilliant pair Lionel Messi, who has played 655 minutes against the Blues without a Champions League goal, and Luis Suarez.
“Eden Hazard has three goals and two assists to his name in his last five Champions League games and the Premier League champions need a big game from their own footballing superstar.”
