Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has made it clear that he’s unhappy with the Chelsea board over its recruitment policy.
Conte’s job now seems under threat after the Blues lost back to back games against Bournemouth and Watford.
With Conte unhappy with the Stamford Bridge hierarchy, former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy believes that the Italian should have resigned given that he’s well aware of the situation at Stamford Bridge.
“Last year he was a breath of fresh air with his positivity and his extrovert personality and celebrations,” he told The Debate.
“Every time he was interviewed, it was a good vibe.
“It is easy when you are winning.
“His body language has gone other way – moaning and whinging, talking about recruitment.
“When he took the job, he would have been told what the recruitment policy is.
“He would have agreed to it and taken the salary based on that and taken the job based on how they approach recruitment.
“Every point this season when he thought things weren’t being done properly, he could have walked and he didn’t.
“He doesn’t need money, he’ll get another job.
“You have to enjoy work – subconsciously you’re still trying.”
