Willian was definitely the best player in tonight’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League second round clash.
Willian scored Chelsea’s only goal of the game, hit the bar twice and caused Barcelona all manner of problems with his pace and skills.
Antonio Conte was pleased with his performance and hailed the Brazilian at the end of the game.
Conte told the media in his press conference: “Willian has the potential to play this type of game every game and I hope to see this performance every time. When you play in this way the coach doesn’t have doubts that you play.”
Conte also hailed Pedro and Eden Hazard for their performance tonight.
Conte said: “Our three strikers played very well and a fantastic game. Willian played really well against Hull and in the last three games we have scored eight times, seven with Willian Pedro and Hazard.
“We must be pleased with the game, not the final result.”
