Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois conceded four goals against a struggling Watford side as he gave away a penalty just before half-time for a foul on Barcelona loanee Gerard Deulofeu.
Pressure is mounting on Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after the defeat, following a disappointing loss to Bournemouth.
Reports in the lead up to game claimed that Conte would lose his job if Watford beat Chelsea, and the Blues lost the game terribly.
Courtois told Sky Sports after the game that rumours’ concerning Conte isn’t affecting the players.
“It does not affect us,” Courtois told Sky Sports when asked about speculations regarding his manager’s future.
“Our start was maybe not the best. We lost too many balls.
“The red card was very light and the penalty was a clear dive.
“I think we have to find our form from before new year.
“We have a tough month coming up. It is important for us to continue to work – heads high.”
