Chelsea’s form this 2018 has been terrible to say the least, as the Blues’ struggles were compounded in the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Reports have it that Antonio Conte’s fight with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is the cause of his troubles at Stamford Bridge.
Relationship between the pair is irreconcilable as they exchanged barbs for many weeks, with the Italian calling the Portuguese ‘fake’ and a ‘little man’ after the Manchester United boss brought up allegations (which he was cleared of) linking Conte to match-fixing.
The Mirror report that some officials at Stamford Bridge believe Mourinho’s comments got under Conte’s skin and have had an impact on results.
It’s also claimed that club owner Roman Abramovich wants Conte to end his war with Mourinho so that he can return his full focus to his team.
Could Conte’s war of words with Mourinho be reason to blame for Chelsea’s struggles?
