Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois believes Chelsea didn’t start well in our 4-1 defeat to Watford on Monday night.

“I think our start was maybe not the best one. I think we lost too many balls, too many easy passes that went wrong,” Courtois said.

“Our first half in general was not so good. The second half we tried to fight with ten men, we got a bit more possession.

“Then obviously the goal came, I think that was good. Maybe then instead of looking quickly for the second goal we should have regrouped a bit more, defended a bit, have a few minutes with the ball and then maybe attack them again.

“But I think the second and third goals were a bit too easy and obviously the fourth came as well. It’s a difficult night for us and we have to work hard again tomorrow and hope that the victories come again because it’s been a bad week.”
