Chelsea have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup, after being beaten by Arsenal in the semifinals. The Blues are currently fourth in the Premier League title, with 18 points behind Manchester City. This means Chelsea are also out of the race for the title.
The Blues are in the fifth round of the FA Cup and are in the second round of the Champions League with a daunting task to overcome Barcelona.
What then could be described as a successful season for Chelsea?
Conte said in his press conference today: “We have to try and do our best in every competition. Until now, we reached the semi-final in the Carabao Cup, where last season we were eliminated in the second round. We improved in this competition.
“Then there is the FA Cup. We have to play a game to reach the quarter-final. There is the Champions League, where we face maybe the best team in this moment in Europe, apart from in England. And in the league, I think, if we are able to reach a place in the Champions League, it will have been a great success. But it will be very, very difficult.”
