Chelsea had an uphill battle against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and it ended dreadfully as the Blues weren’t able to even get a shot on target all game long.
City had over 70 per cent of the possession and Chelsea could barely make a significant impact on the game’s proceeding.
Chelsea defender and vice-captain Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed his disappointment at the result and admitted that Chelsea’s inability to make good use of the ball was a major problem in the game.
“We knew we were playing a team strong with the ball and they have amazing quality players, they play offensive football and we knew that we had to defend well, but we lacked getting out of the pressure and sometimes making the right decision with the ball,” said Azpilicueta.
“To concede in the first minute of the second half was really expensive.”
