It was bad news for Chelsea in the injury list as youngster Ethan Ampadu will miss the rest of the season due to a fractured ankle in an injury picked up during Chelsea’s U19 meeting with Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League last week.

However, there are some good news too in the injury area as the Telegraph report Blues midfielder Ross Barkley is set to return to full training after recovering from a hamstring issue.

Barkley had already missed the first half of the 2017-18 season with a hamstring injury that demanded surgery and has also missed action for almost two months, missing the squad selection for games from early February until now.

Barkley’s injury situation has made him off the pace in the few games he has played for the club, but the club believes he will be back at his best if he can overcome his injury troubles.
