Ahead of this weekend’s clash between Chelsea and Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, Blues legend Dennis Wise has told his former club to get the win against their London rivals.

Wise also compared the managers of the two clubs as he believes Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is having a better season than Antonio Conte.

They are each in the FA Cup semi-finals, but Tottenham have a five-point lead over Chelsea in the table, and Wise outlines the importance of this weekend’s showdown.

“Spurs will be looking to at least get a draw and they will be happy with that,” Wise said on Sky Sports.

“I think Chelsea will be looking to win this because they’ve got to catch those five points up on Spurs.

“It’s very important I think for the outcome of the season, how you kind of look at the two coaches and you look at how they’ve actually done.

“At the moment you look at the situation and Pochettino has done very, very well and he’s put himself in a position where, at the moment so far, he’s having a better season than Conte.

“It’s disappointing but it’s not finished, they’ve got a little while to go yet.

“Obviously they are both in the FA Cup semi finals as well, so a lot to play for on the weekend.”
