Antonio Conte’s tactics against Barcelona were heavily criticised by pundits and fans, as the game failed to live up to its expectations.

Conte has hit back at pundits who criticised his tactics after the same pundits hailed his tactics against Barcelona.

However, the Italian admitted that the team must improve in terms of holding the ball when under pressure from opposition.

“Compared to the game against Barcelona we were not so good in possession and we missed a lot of last passes,” he said.

“We have to improve in terms of personality when there is pressure from the opposition but the tactics were the same as against Barcelona.

“We have to improve with the ball but despite this we had important situations but made a bad final decision, or the final ball was bad.”
