Chelsea are through to the semifinals of the FA Cup, but not after a gruelling 2-1 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes and Chelsea won the game in extra time.

Both sides made FA Cup history on Sunday in what is the first ever FA Cup quarter-final in the long history of the competition to go beyond 90 minutes.

The FA made the change to the tournament last season that would see quarter-final ties settled on the day (as the semi-finals and finals are) instead of going to a replay as they previously had done.

Chelsea have been drawn against Southampton for the FA Cup semifinal, while Manchester United and Tottenham will be against each other in the other semifinal match.
