Antonio Rudiger, Gary Cahill and Danny Drinkwater are neighbours in the Chelsea dressing room as they have their lockers side by side.
The official Chelsea website caught with Rudiger in a column titled ‘the boys next door’, and the Germany international was asked about his dressing room neighbours.
Rudiger admitted that Drinkwater is usually the first to come for training among the trio, and Cahill spends more time in front of the mirror.
When asked to say something about them that we don’t know, the German said: “I have to say I didn’t expect Gary to be such a funny guy. You can laugh a lot with him, and with Danny Drinkwater as well.
“Still sometimes with their accent, I have to take a bit of time to understand what they are saying, but it’s okay.”
And on something that impressed him about his neighbours, Rudiger said: “Gary has had a great career. He has won it all, and that’s very impressive. I am very happy for him, and now I know him as a person I am even more glad because he is a Chelsea legend for sure.
“Drinkwater did something historical with Leicester City and it was very impressive. That’s something he can always talk about.”
