Barcelona are currently eight points clear at the top of the La Liga table as they enjoy a 15 point lead over fierce rivals Real Madrid.
Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde guided his team to Supercopa de Catalunya victory against Espanyol yesterday without star players Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
When asked about Los Blancos beating Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Valverde claimed that he is more worried about facing Antonio Conte’s side than coming up against Real in the latter stages of the tournament.
“In the first leg PSG were good, but Real Madrid managed to win it at the end with two amazing goals,” he said.
“On Tuesday it was Real Madrid being Real Madrid, as always.
“They are always usually fine in this kind of scenario.
“But they aren’t the rival for us to beat.
“Our rival is Chelsea, who we play against on Wednesday.”
