Chelsea had a very difficult game against Swansea as the Blues took all three points at the Liberty Stadium.
Cesc Fabregas scored the only game as early as the 4th minute, but the Blues couldn’t add to that goal and had to suffer to keep Swansea at bay in the latter stage of the second half.
Chelsea captain Gary Cahill admitted that it was a difficult game against the relegation threatened side.
“It was tough,” he said. “They need results and they pushed hard at the end.
“They gambled, put a lot of men forward and made it difficult for us at the end. We needed the win, so a good performance and a good win. It was not always pretty but we dug in and got the result.
“It looked very difficult to get in the top four a few weeks ago, but let’s see,” Cahill added.
“It puts a little bit of pressure on. I’m sure they are used to it, but we have done our job, and all we can do is try and win every single game from now until the end of the season and see where that takes us.”
