Antonio Conte has revealed he’s unhappy with Marcos Alonso’s performance in the game against Southampton.
The Spaniard assisted the goal that kick-started Chelsea’s comeback, but his performance was overshadowed by a stamp on Saints striker Shane Long.
The Chelsea left wing-back was surprisingly named in the PFA Team of the Year on Wednesday, and Antonio Conte used this as an opportunity to tell Alonso how badly he played against the Saints last weekend.
Asked about the award, Conte told reporters: “I’m very happy for him.
“For sure, the last game he played badly, but I’m sure for this consideration is the whole [season], but last game was bad.”
