Mohamed Salah is having a fabulous season at Liverpool, having scored an incredible 43 goals in 47 games in his debut season for the club.
The Egyptian has been crowned as the PFA Footballer of the Year, and many have criticised former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho for selling the Egyptian, but Mourinho has exonerated himself, claiming it was the club’s decision.
Antonio Conte has sympathized with the former Chelsea manager, admitting that Salah worked hard to improve and wasn’t the player he was while at Chelsea.
Conte said: “This is not so simple because I think that we have to compare Salah from over four or five years ago, not with this Salah.
“The Salah in the present he improved a lot and developed a lot. He developed his football and the experience in Italy was very important for him.
“Now I am sure he is a different player compared to the past and for that reason it is difficult to have this comparison with this player.”
