Chelsea boss Antonio Conte revealed in his pre-match press conference that he could play Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud against Southampton on Sunday.
Both strikers started in the win over Burnley on Thursday and Conte admitted he could start with two strikers against Southampton.
“Yesterday I was very pleased with Giroud’s performance and Morata’s performance,” Conte said.
“It was the first time we’d played with two strikers with these characteristics.
“In the past, for many reasons, it wasn’t possible to try these options. But now I know I have this option, and it could be a possibility for Sunday’s game, to play with two strikers for the future.
“I know that we have this option, especially if you see these two players working so hard during the game, with the ball and without the ball.”
