Antonio Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title in just his first season in England. The Italian became an instant sensation with his passion and exuberance on the sidelines.

However, things have gone wrong this season as the Blues have underwhelmed and are in danger of missing out of top four.

Many pundits have looked into what could be the cause of Chelsea’s struggles, and while some have criticised the players, former Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit have bashed the Chelsea boss for the poor handling of his senior team players.

Petit told SFR Sport: “Last year, they weren’t playing the Champions League. This year, it was far more complicated with having to deal with a game every three days, knowing that he got into conflicts with key members of the team.

“It started with Diego Costa, then David Luiz, now Gary Cahill. I can’t count the number of players from last year’s starting team who got angry with Conte during the season.”
