N’Golo Kante was amazing last season for Chelsea as he was an unstoppable force in the Chelsea midfield with the Blues going on to win the league.
The Frenchman is renowned for his tireless work ethic on the pitch but he concedes that the added workload of European football, coupled with the hectic winter schedule, have taken a toll on his fitness.
The 27-year-old has been good this season but not compared to his past two seasons as a Chelsea and Leicester City player, and he has blamed it on fatigue.
However, he has admitted he has no concerns over his condition heading into the World Cup with France.
“This season I experienced the Champions League and its high intensity games”, Kante told SFR Sports.
“There was also Boxing Day and a heavy workload during the winter months, but since our elimination from the Champions League, it has calmed down a bit with one game per week.
“There was fatigue during the season, but I am well looked after at Chelsea. I am feeling well and will get in shape for the World Cup.
“There’s nothing to worry about.”
