Liverpool dropped points away to West Brom despite having taken a 2-0 lead through Danny Ings and Mohamed Salah.

The game finished 2-2 as Jake Livermore and Salomon Rondon scored second-half goals to rescue a point for the Baggies.

The Reds currently sit third in the Premier League table with Chelsea eight points behind in fifth place.

Chelsea are hoping for a Champions League spot but Kop hero Mark Lawrenson insists his former club should not be worried about Chelsea.

“I don’t think Chelsea are anywhere near catching us”, Lawrenson told LFC TV.

“Chelsea might be in the cup final as well.

“That’s another thing, so I think we’re there.”
