Kenedy continued his hot form for Newcastle as he scored his fourth goal in as many home games for Newcastle United on Saturday. The Brazilian scored the only goal of the game 10 minutes from time as the Magpies defeated Huddersfield 1-0 at St James’ Park to pull seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Tammy Abraham played the second half of Swansea’s 2-0 defeat at Manchester United and came the closest to getting a goal in the game, twice forcing David de Gea into action.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek got some more valuable minutes under his belt when he came off the bench in the second half of Crystal Palace’s 2-1 defeat at home to Liverpool.

Lucas Piazon played the whole game as Fulham kept the pressure on the top two in the Championship. Two goals in the space of four minutes, from Stefan Johansen and Tom Cairney, gave them a 2-0 victory at Norwich, and moved them to within two points of second-placed Cardiff.

Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, was sent off for Sheffield United in their 1-1 draw against Brentford after clashing with Ryan Woods after Brentford had equalised. The goalkeeper’s dismissal on Saturday meant he was suspended for their draw at home to Cardiff.

Kasey Palmer, meanwhile, came off the bench in both of Derby’s matches as they bounced back from a 4-1 defeat to Sunderland with a 1-0 win at Preston yesterday.

In the Bundesliga, Michy Batshuayi’s Borussia Dortmund lost to Bayern Munich 6-0 away at the Alianz Arena.

In the Dutch league, Marco van Ginkel opened the scoring from the penalty spot as PSV Eindhoven thrashed NAC Breda 5-1 at home, maintaining their seven-point lead at the top of the Eredivisie.

In Russia, Mario Pasalic came off the bench for the closing stages of Spartak Moscow’s 2-1 win over Tosno and in Serbia, Danilo Pantic played just over an hour for Partizan Belgrade in their 2-1 win at Backa Backa Palanka.
