Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has claimed the club would be open to re-signing Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea, after just one season at Stamford Bridge.
The France international has struggled in his first season in England, and has fallen out of Antonio Conte’s first team in recent months. Poor form and injury hasn’t helped his case, and the 23-year-old is in danger of missing out of this summer’s World Cup.
Speaking in an interview with Telefoot, Vasilyev suggested that Monaco would be interested in a potential deal to bring back Bakayoko who made his name with the French club last season, as he was one of the key players that helped the team win the French league and reach the Champions League semifinals.
In a section of the show called ‘do you prefer’, Vasilyev was given several questions and two options to choose from for each.
And when asked if he would take Bakayoko back for next season or leave him at Chelsea, Vasilyev said he would want him to return to Monaco.
