Chelsea were dominant at the Turf Moor and deserved the three points, although the game got tensed when Ashley Barnes levelled the scores. Thankfully, Victor Moses put Chelsea back in front.

See how the players fared in this game

Courtois: Had a comfortable evening, but was unlucky when Ashley Barnes’ deflected shot went in. 6/10

Rudiger: Was a rock in defence and won his aerial duels perfectly. 7/10

Cahill: Impressive and brave defending from the captain. His pass from deep for Moses led to Chelsea’s first goal. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Solid performance from the Spaniard, handled everything that came his way. 7/10

Kante: Another wonderful performance from the Frenchman. Was solid in midfield and his general performance was composed. 7/10

Bakayoko: Started the game shakily but finished strong and had a good second half. 6.5/10

Moses: Wonderful performance from the right wing-back. His effort led to Kevin Long’s own goal and he scored the match winner. Was a constant threat on the right and deserved man of the match. 8/10

Emerson: His first league start of the season both for Chelsea and Roma. Put in some decent crosses from the left flank. 6/10

Pedro: His runs were dangerous. Was a livewire all through the game. 7.5/10

Giroud: Powerful performance from the Frenchman despite not getting on the scoresheet. His flick led to Moses’ winner. Won many aerial duels and his holdup play was impressive. 7/10

Morata: Missed three good chances to get on the scoresheet. Was disappointed when he was subbed off, but he could have done better with his finishing. 5/10

Hazard: Came on for Morata and was lively for Chelsea. Added spark to Chelsea’s attack. 7/10

Zappacosta: Came on late for Emerson
