Danny Drinkwater signed for Chelsea during the summer from Leicester City and has struggled to get regular playing time at Chelsea since moving to Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old handed in a transfer request last summer in a bid to force through his exit from Leicester City and eventually moved to Chelsea in a £35million deal.

Drinkwater had hoped to reestablish his title-winning partnership with N’Golo Kante at Stamford Bridge but the midfielder has started just five Premier League matches this season and only appeared in seven further games.

According to the Telegraph, this has led to Drinkwater questioning his future at Chelsea and he is willing to quit the club this summer in search of first-team football.
