Chelsea have been interested in Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly for two years now, and the Blues have been frustrated in their pursuit of the Senegalese.
According to reports, Napoli are now prepared to sell the central defender this summer amid interest from Chelsea and other Premier League clubs.
The 26-year-old has been in good form this season, and Corriere dello Sport report that Napoli are willing to listen to offers.
They would prefer to sell abroad rather than to another Serie A rival, with any Italian club needing to start the bidding at €80million (£70.5m).
However, Chelsea can get the defender for a cheaper fee, as the price is not quite so steep for teams outside of Italy, with Napoli happy to sell Koulibaly if his €70m (£61.5m) release clause – which only applies to foreign teams.
