A tribunal held on Friday has ordered Chelsea £2.5million for 17-year-old Ethan Ampadu who joined from Exeter City last summer.
Ampadu came through Exeter’s academy and made his debut aged 15 but Chelsea and Exeter failed to agree on a compensation fee when the teenager joined last summer, leaving the tribunal to set a fee for the transfer.
The League Two side are guaranteed £1.3million, with another £1.2million based on appearances made by Ampadu for Chelsea. They will also get 20 per cent of the sell-on fee if he leaves Stamford Bridge.
