Gary Cahill’s return to the squad has seen youngster Andreas Christensen lose his shirt in the starting eleven, and Cahill’s experience has definitely been a vital factor in Chelsea’s recent resurgence.

The Chelsea skipper played a huge role in defence as the team were able to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool’s attacking front three of Sadio Mane, Firminho and Mohamed Salah.

Cahill has admitted that he’s happy with his recent form.

He said: “I feel I’m playing well, back at the levels I expect of myself. I’m happy that I’m back in the team, I’m happy we’re getting results and I’m enjoying my football.

“I feel fitter and sharper, and with two games to go and an FA Cup final, there’s still plenty to play for.”
