Chelsea have paused transfer deals until the managerial situation at the club is settled, claims a report by Daily Mail.

Chelsea have already made plans for multiple transfers ahead of next season but won’t go ahead with the transfers until the managerial uncertainty at the club is resolved.

Antonio Conte is expected to be dismissed as Chelsea boss but the club hierarchy is yet to end his employment.

Former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri has reportedly agreed terms with Chelsea but he is yet to be announced as Chelsea boss due to the board’s reluctance to pay his Napoli release clause.

Laurent Blanc — who has been out of work since leaving Paris Saint-Germain in 2016 — has also been considered for the role of Chelsea boss.

Chelsea hierarchy are aware the uncertainty over who will lead the team next season leaves Chelsea at risk of missing out on our top targets.

The Blues have reportedly informed representatives of our top targets that a decision on who will be Chelsea boss for next season will be made by the end of May or start of June.

Some of the players that have been linked with Chelsea include Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial and Jean Michael Seri who plays for Nice.
