Chelsea’s season has been described as a disappointing one by many as the Blues ended the Premier League season out of the top four, and the team exited the Champions League as early as the second round.

However, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has insisted before the FA Cup final against Manchester United that the season hasn’t been disappointing.

“Do you think this is a disappointing season? I don’t think so,” he snapped back at BBC Sport’s Gabby Logan.

“I have worked with these players very hard. I don’t think this is a disappointing season.

“This is our second final in a row to play this important competition which is a great achievement. ‘Now we have to change the result from last season.”

Chelsea ended the season with the FA Cup trophy; in what will be Conte’s first ever cup triumph.
