Chelsea had slim hopes of reaching the top four, but first the Blues had to beat Newcastle at the St James Park.

However, Conte’s men slumped to a 3-0 loss in a Premier League season that has been full of frustration for the Chelsea faithful.

Focus now quickly turns from the league to the FA Cup, and a date with Manchester United at Wembley on May 19, and Conte has planned on preparing the lads for this game.

The Italian also admitted that the fans deserve better than losing woefully to Newcastle.

“We have an important game in six days and now we have to prepare in a different way than today,” declared Conte.

“Our fans deserve more than today.”
