Huddersfield needed at least a point against Chelsea to be sure of their safety, and the Terriers got a point at Stamford Bridge which has killed Chelsea’s hopes of a Champions League spot.
David Wagner’s men dug deep in this game as Antonio Conte’s men couldn’t break through their very tight defence.
Antonio admitted after the game that the visiting team’s tactics worked and chose to respect them.
He said: “We must respect Huddersfield’s plan. They started this game with one target in their mind – to take one point.
“They wanted to defend very deep, and we must give the best compliment to Huddersfield for this result. Great congratulations to them.”
