Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Manchester United courtesy of an Eden Hazard goal secured our eight FA Cup trophy much to the delight of the Blues supporters.

Here are 3 positives from the game:

CHELSEA & CONTE FINISH THE SEASON IN THE HIGH:

In what has been a frustrating season for both Chelsea and Conte, the win over United is encouraging. The lows of a poor title defence, Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona, the League Cup exit against Arsenal and missing out on Europe’s elite competition for next season have been hurtful. At least beating our rivals, José Mourinho and Manchester United just makes winning the trophy lovelier.

CHELSEA’S WIN SHOWS WE MIGHT BE DOWN BUT NOT OUT:

Just a fortnight ago, the pessimism that seeped into the hearts of every Chelsea fan was worrisome. A demoralising draw against Huddersfield and an awful defeat against Newcastle United all but ended our faint hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. More painful was the fact that Chelsea played badly and many would never have envisaged a win against all odds. Our hot streak of being able to turn adversity into success came to fore once again. We might be down, but have proved again that we are not out of reckoning as a top club.

CONTE WINS ANOTHER TROPHY IN PERIOD OF FUTURE UNREST:

The fiery Italian’s future has been the subject of intense speculations all season with predictions of a sack being imminent whether or not they win the FA Cup. The results this season might have not been enough, but Conte has ensured that he signed out of Chelsea on a high. Whether or not he keeps the Chelsea job, the Italian has been quite a success at the club.

Let’s keep the blue flag flying high. Cheers!
