Chelsea needed to beat Huddersfield to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Tottenham for the final round of fixtures. However, the game ended in a 1-1 draw as David Wagner’s men ensured their safety in the Premier League.
David Wagner’s side earned a crucial point at Stamford Bridge to retain their status as a Premier League club, but Chelsea players were visibly disappointed with the result at the end of the game.
Cesc Fabregas was clearly upset with the result, and the Huddersfield boss revealed that Spaniard did not shake his hand and seemed very angry at the final whistle.
He said: “He was angry, he was speaking Spanish, I didn’t hear him. He had a really good game.”
