The news surrounding Chelsea is that Antonio Conte’s exit is imminent and Maurizio Sarri is close to sealing a two-year deal with the Blues.
Conte seems to have lost the support of some players in the dressing room, notably Willian, while Chelsea star Eden Hazard has given two conditions that will make him stay at Chelsea.
Hazard wants Chelsea to sign quality players and play an attacking brand of football to remain at Stamford Bridge, and rumours claim he is in support of Chelsea’s choice of appointing Sarri as the next manager.
Hazard has constantly complained about Conte’s defensive approach to the game especially against big teams, but Conte issued an ultimatum to the board and said that he was unwilling to change his approach after the FA Cup final.
Sarri is known for his attacking style of play, and Hazard is reportedly pushing for Sarri’s arrival at Stamford Bridge after being encouraged by praise from his Belgium teammate Dries Mertens.
Hazard has been impressed with Napoli’s football and his international teammate Dries Mertens has also given Sarri a vote of confidence.
