Chelsea Football Club have announced plans for the new 60,000-seater stadium have been put on hold, claiming an “unfavourable investment climate”.

Reports claim Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich ‘is unwilling to invest in a country where he can’t work’ as he has been denied a visa into the UK since his 40-month visa expired in April,

Reports claim the Russian billionaire has dropped plans to upgrade Stamford Bridge as he is unwilling to invest £1billion into a country in which he is no longer permitted to work, and he has also revoked his own visa application as he is tired of waiting for one.

According to Metro UK, Israeli sources claim the steel and oil magnate ripped up his visa request recently, fed up of being treated as a ‘new applicant’.
