Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi suffered an ankle injury during his loan spell with Borussia Dortmund, and it was feared that he will miss this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

The 24-year-old has since been at Cobham receiving treatment ahead of the World Cup, and he has now been cleared to resume training in 10 days and is set to be fit to join Belgium for the World Cup.

Batshuayi’s form in Germany didn’t go unnoticed and he will be a key part of Roberto Martinez’s squad, competing for a place up front with Romelu Lukaku of Manchester United.

Belgium have been grouped against England, Panama and Tunisia.
