Russian international Aleksandr Golovin, who has been impressive for Russia during the ongoing World Cup, has been attracting interest from a number of leading clubs in Europe including Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly scouted the CSKA Moscow midfielder before the World Cup while new Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants him at the Emirates.
According to his CSKA Moscow teammate Roman Shirokov, Chelsea are favourites to sign Golovin.
“I know there’s been contact between the player and Juventus, but we’ll have to see what CSKA think of it,” Shirokov told Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by Sport Witness.
“There’s no deadline for Golovin, and the CSKA president knows how to manage the market, both for arrivals and departures.
“With this World Cup, Golovin’s value is increasing, and there could be a real auction for him. In this case, I see the English teams as favourites, especially Chelsea.”
