Chelsea have submitted a £35million bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, claims Evening Standard.
Chelsea are hoping to make the 23-year-old Italy international Maurizio Sarri’s first signing as Chelsea boss.
Rugani played under Sarri during an impressive two-year loan spell at Empoli between 2013 and 2015 before establishing himself in the first team at Juventus.
Chelsea are preparing a five-year contract worth £60,000-a-week – double what Rugani earns in Juventus.
Rugani is reportedly happy to leave Juventus and his arrival could see David Luiz leave Chelsea.
