Chelsea’s pre-season plan is right on schedule as the club have announced three European International Champions Cup fixtures ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, including a game against Lyon at the Bridge on Tuesday 7 August.

The Blues will compete for the fifth time in the International Champions Cup, but for the first time in Europe, with Yokohama becoming an official partner of the competition in 2018.

Our pre-season kick starts on July 23 in a friendly game against Australia’s Perth Glory before we meet Inter Milan at Nice’s Allianz Riviera Stadium on Saturday 28 July.

A local derby with a twist follows that as we take on Premier League rivals Arsenal at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday 1 August.

We then play Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday 5 August before concluding our pre-season fixtures on Tuesday 7 August when we host Lyon at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
