Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen played a big role in helping Denmark keep a clean sheet and beat Peru 1-0 in their World Cup opener.
However, Christensen was unable to finish the game and was substituted after 80 minutes with what looked a possible injury.
Denmark coach Age Hareide has eased Christensen’s injury concerns by revealing the 22-year-old came off due to cramp.
“Christensen had a bit of a cramp so we couldn’t take any chances with him,” said Hareide after the game.
“Fortunately we had other good defenders.”
