Former Chelsea star Eidur Gudjohnsen has warned losing Eden Hazard this summer won’t be good for Chelsea.
“I hope Eden stays, I really do,” Gudjohnsen said as quoted on the Mirror.
“Losing him would not be good for the team, but I am sure events at the club are on his mind.
“They finished on a high winning the FA Cup after a disappointing season defending their league title, so I am hoping Chelsea stay close to his heart over the summer.
“He is still under contract and always speaks well of club. He seems to be happy but of course, we all know he has the talent and quality to play for any club.
“I’m pretty sure he’s focused on the World Cup with Belgium. But it’s only natural that he will be thinking ‘what are they doing with players coming in this summer?’
“I don’t suppose there will be a clear view until after the World Cup. I’m just hoping he stays.”
