Adnan Januzaj’s second-half strike sealed victory for Belgium in a top of the table deciding clash against England in Kaliningrad on Thursday evening.
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford had an excellent chance to equalise for the Three Lions when he was put through on goal against Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. But the Chelsea No.1 came racing off his line and was able to deny Rashford with a fingertip save.
Rashford has hailed the Belgian shot-stopper for his wonderful save, and admitted it wasn’t the first time the Chelsea goalkeeper was stopping him in this manner.
“To be fair, it’s not the first time it’s happened against him,” Rashford told ITV after England’s defeat.
“I know that he comes out fast and spreads himself very big when he comes out.
“I think if I keep it on the floor and get a bit of extra detail on the finish it maybe has a chance of going in the far post.
“But I lifted it a bit and he got a finger tip to it.”
