Being Antonio Conte at this point may be quite a difficult role to play. Just two years as Chelsea manager and after winning the Premier League and FA Cup for the Blues, the Italian’s job is the least safe of all Premier League managers. But that isn’t even the sickening situation.
Conte’s job as Chelsea boss has been under threat since February, but the Chelsea board let the Italian finish the last season without issuing a sack when the team was struggling. The season has long ended, and Conte is yet to know if he is staying or leaving. And to make matters worse, Chelsea’s managerial issue is up on the media daily and different bosses has been linked to the Chelsea job as if Chelsea don’t have a manager.
Maurizio Sarri is the favourite to be the Chelsea manager next season, and Sky Italia claim that Conte is irritated with the way he has been treated by Chelsea, and has vowed to remain put until the club tells him where they stand with him.
