Reports today claim Chelsea are edging closer to signing Maurizio Sarri as the new Blues boss after recent developments with Napoli.
Chelsea have been unwilling to pay the 59-year-old’s €8 million (£7m) release clause so far, as the Serie A club are yet to rescind his contract.
The Times report that Roma will now allow Sarri to leave for £4.5m.
Chelsea’s decision to sign a new manager would also prove costly decision as Conte’s sacking would cost the club £9m.
