With the uncertainty so far this summer surrounding the Chelsea managerial position, the Blues have been unable to carry out any business in the transfer window.
Juventus centre-back Daniele Rugani has been heavily linked with a move to the west London outfit, with reports claiming a fee worth £30m has already been agreed.
Rugani’s agent, Davide Torchia, has revealed that Maurizio Sarri’s incoming appointment will hold the key to a deal. Torchia revealed that Chelsea must first resolve its managerial appointment before a deal will be struck.
He said: “It is obvious to say that the Sarri question must first be resolved, then proceed with the negotiations and make them more or less concrete.”
Rugani was a near ever-present feature for Juve last term, racking up nearly 30 appearances in all competitions.
