Chelsea are interested in appointing former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri to replace Antonio Conte as Chelsea boss.
Despite being replaced by Carlo Ancelotti, Sarri’s contract at Napoli – which still has two years to run – hasn’t been torn up.
Napoli are demanding Chelsea pay the Italian’s £7million release clause, which expired on Thursday night but Chelsea have so far refused to pay.
According to a report on Daily Express, Sarri’s representatives are working out whether they have a case to take to court.
The report claims Sarri’s lawyers are working out if they can appeal for constructive dismissal, considering Sarri was replaced after guiding Napoli to second in Serie A.
The report claims the issue could be resolved by FIFA.
