According to reports in Italy, Napoli have finally relented and will allow Maurizio Sarri to join the FA Cup holders, but only if the Blues agree not to poach any of their players.
Reports claim a deal is on the horizon and the deal for Sarri to be appointed Chelsea manager will be made soon.
Chelsea were reluctant to pay the £8m compensation fee for Sarri as they face a £9m bill for paying off the final year of Antonio Conte’s contract.
Sport Italia now claim a breakthrough has been found and an announcement could be imminent after Chelsea agreed to an unconventional clause.
Also, Chelsea legend Francesco Zola has been tipped to be his assistant manager when Sarri takes over the managerial seat at Stamford Bridge.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Sarri is now very close to agreeing a three-year contract with an option to extend for a third, and Chelsea legend Zola also set for a return to west London. The 51-year-old has been out of work since he was sacked by Birmingham last year.
Zola, voted Chelsea’s best ever player by the club’s fans, has also managed both West Ham and Watford and is loved by the Chelsea fans till date.
