Victor Moses became the first Chelsea player to suffer defeat at Russia 2018 as Nigeria lost 2-0 to Croatia in their World Cup opener.
Moses started on the left of the Nigeria line-up but later moved into an attacking position on the right and took most set-pieces but couldn’t help inspire the Nigerians to victory.
Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel captained the Nigerian team.
It was a lackluster display from the Nigerian team with the game lacking intensity and tempo.
Nigeria’s next game is against Iceland on Friday.
