Zinedine Zidane’s decision to quit being Real Madrid boss took Madrid by shock, coming just four days after guiding Real to a third consecutive Champions League trophy.

Reports now claim that Zidane and Bernabeu supremo Florentino Perez came to a disagreement after Perez reportedly refused to sanction the signing of Eden Hazard leaving the pair at loggerheads.

Zidane is said to be a huge fan of Hazard and wants the Belgian at the Bernabeu but was unhappy that his request wasn’t granted.

And according to according to The Sun, the pair had a heated clash, with Zidane telling Perez: “I am done. You take care of the team.”

Zidane’s resignation can now see Chelsea fans breathe a sigh of relief in the Eden Hazard matter.
